Who else loves Christmas? It is the most wonderful time of year, as they say. Every year I look forward to December so that I can buy my favourite festive treats. Here’s my top 5.
1. Festive Bake
My top spot goes to the Festive Bake at Greggs. When I tell you I’m obsessed, I mean I’m really obsessed. It’s like the God-tier chicken bake, only festive!
Chicken breast, stuffing, bacon, sage and cranberry sauce, golden puff pastry with a crunch crumb topping. Merry Christmas from Greggs.

2. Mulled Wine
Is there anything more festive than a mug of mulled wine? I have a huge collection of Christmas mugs from various Christmas markets and they all come out from the back of the cupboard for the mulled wine. Check out my Christmas mug collection here. Obviously, you can make your own mulled wine (and someday I will) but normally I just buy a bottle and heat it up. Sainsbury’s do a cheap one (£3.00), but if I’m feeling fancy I’ll splash out on M&S (£5). What a treat.

3. Mince Pies
I used to hate mince pies when I was younger but now I can’t get enough! Nothing better than a mince pie, a hot mug of mulled wine, and a Christmas film. Bonus points if they’re homemade. The Greggs ones are pretty on point too, though.

4. Homemade Ginger Wine
Homemade ginger wine is a huge tradition in our family. It pretty much burns the throat but I can’t get enough. The one we use is ‘Riddles Ginger Wine Essence’ and the instructions are on the bottle – basically it involves boiling water with a whole bag of sugar in and adding the ginger essence. To make it alcoholic, we add whatever we have – normally whiskey, brandy and port. Christmas in a drink.

5. M&S Milk Chocolate Biscuits
Okay, so these aren’t really festive at all. But for some reason I always receive them as a Christmas present. Plus, they are much more indulgent than normal biscuits. If you’ve never had them, you’re missing out.

Let the countdown to Christmas begin! I hope everyone has a wonderful Christmas!
